Rickey Allen Dodge, born on March 12, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully in Powell on December 27, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose wit, warmth, and love will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Rick was a proud alumnus of Buckeye Valley High School and pursued higher education at Otterbein University where he played football. Throughout his life, he exemplified a spirit of generosity and care, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh. With a great sense of humor and a knack for one-liners, he brought joy to every gathering and fostered an environment of laughter and love among his family and friends.

A devoted family man, Rick cherished the time spent with his loved ones. The memories he created with family while camping, attending airshows, softball games, and simply relaxing at home remain treasured moments. His family was his pride and joy and truly the highlight of his life.

Rick had a deep passion for the outdoors, indulging in hobbies such as hunting and spending quality time with his dogs. He was a dedicated softball coach who inspired many, reflecting his commitment to nurturing and guiding those around him. His love for music and airplanes showcased his adventurous spirit and desire to embrace life in all its forms.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janie; his daughters Kasey Leali (Nick), Susan Buck (Dan), and Carrie Kuhar (John); his mother, Gloria Dodge; brothers, Rob Dodge (Fran) and Ron Dodge ( Adele); grandchildren: Alex, Bronson, Addison, Remi, and Sadie; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews who admired him greatly. He was predeceased by his father, Richard Dodge, and his in-laws, Newton and Mary Elkins.

Rick’s legacy will forever echo in the hearts of those he loved and laughed with. His caring nature and personality have left an indelible mark, and he will continue to inspire through the fond memories shared by all whose lives he touched.
