Robert L. Barker, 87, of Columbus, OH, passed away May 31, 2013. He was born in Meadowbrook, WV on November 14, 1925 to Homer and Fannie (Ice) Barker.
He was a life member of the Army Navy Garrison 097 and a veteran serving during World War II in the U.S. Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife of 62 years, Mildred. Surviving family includes, children, Gary Barker, Larry (Patricia) Barker, Glenis Miller, sister, Virginia Tresize, grandchildren, John David Barker, James Willis II, Cassondra Kredel, Curtis Fleshman, Keith Barker, Stephanie Kistler, Chris Schulz, Tricia Emond and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm, Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral services will be at 1:00pm, Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
