Robert M. Bready

Robert M. Bready, affectionately known as "Bready," was born on October 10, 1966, in Columbus, OH. He passed away on February 16, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and warmth.

A beloved figure in his community, Bready worked at Phillip's Coney Island, a favorite place where he formed meaningful connections with coworkers and patrons alike. He had a kind heart, always willing to help others despite his own struggles. Bready was known for his infectious smile and positive spirit.

Bready had a love for the outdoors and often spent his leisure time listening to gospel and rock music. He looked forward to Christmas gatherings and family reunions, where moments spent sharing laughter and joy were cherished. Friday pizza nights, card games, and Yahtzee were regular highlights of his life. He also enjoyed watching westerns, especially those featuring Clint Eastwood.

In addition to his many interests, Bready took great pride in attending Greg Green's Kung Fu Karate School, where he achieved personal growth and accomplishment.

He is remembered fondly by his sisters, Pat VanCleaf, Karen Bready, Patty (Greg) Jones, and Christina Payne. Bready is also survived by several nieces and nephews, a special aunt, Ethel Mooney, and dear friends, Kim, Tasha, Michelle, and Shelby. He was embraced by the community at Mike's Bar and Grill, where he built lasting friendships.

Bready is reunited in memory with his father, Charles Bready; mother, Janet Bready; grandparents, Lorain and Evalee Thivener; sister, Susan McNamer; aunts, Joyce Thivener and Robin Weiler; uncle, James Thivener; nephews, Austin Eckleberry and Taz Hook; and niece, Jaime Bready.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123.

Bready’s memory will live on through the lives he touched and the love he shared with those around him.
