Robert Arthur Buck

Robert Arthur Buck, 74, of Newark, passed away on October 31, 2023. He was born in Columbus on August 7, 1949 to the late Arthur R. and Betty (Myers) Buck.
Those left to cherish Bob's memory include daughter, Lindsay Buck; son, Rob (Sarah, nee King) Buck; brother, Brian Buck; sister, Molly Wellman; brother-in-law, LeRoy Zamora; nephews, Andy Buck, Kyle Buck, and Carson Wellman; nieces, Kayleigh (Ryan) Bailey and Jennifer (Tim) Herbst; great-nephew, Mitch Herbst; and many other family members and friends.
Along with his parents, Bob is preceded in death by sister, Linda (nee Buck) Zamora; sister-in-law, Cyndee (Bill) Buck.
Bob served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. Upon return, Bob received his Bachelor's degree in Business from Franklin University. He served as the Produce Manager for Big Bear Grocery for 25 years. He also worked for Lil' Bear IGA in Newark for many years. Bob was a long time, dedicated member of First Baptist Church of New Albany.
When he wasn't working for caring for the family, Bob loved to read. He was also a dear fan and loved watching The Ohio State University Football and the Cincinnati Reds.
The family would like to thank SharonBrooke Assisted Living and Generations Hospice for taking care of Bob at the end of his life.
A service to honor Bob's life will be held at 4pm, on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at the Newcomer, Northeast Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231. In lieu of flowers, the Buck Family has requested donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1379 Dublin Rd., Columbus, OH 43215. The Newcomer family is honored to serve The Buck Family.
