He retired from Continental Baking Co. as the district sales manager of Wonder Bread in the Columbus, Ohio market for 38 years. A devoted father of his daughter, Terri Lynn Banks and his son, Michael Joseph "Joe" Cole. He attended Lincoln McKinley High School where he played football and baseball. He was an AVID OSU Buckeye fan. The one thing he looked forward to was his annual Golf Trip to Florida with his many friends. His friends, although too many to mention, meant so much to him. All the stories and laughs he shared with them over the years is what kept him going until he passed. He lived life to its fullest and wouldn't change one day of his life for anyone!
