Bob spent his childhood in Waterloo, Ohio. At the age of 14, Bob took a bus to Columbus taking a job at the David Davies Slaughter House, claiming he was 16. After a short time he returned home and graduated from Oak Hill High School, class of 1947. Over the years, and while raising his family, Bob tried his hand at many professions. He drove for Greyhound Bus Lines, was a driver/foreman for Columbus Transit Company, Standard Oil, sold life insurance and was a door-to-door salesman for the Fuller Brush Company. When real estate sales piqued his interest he acquired his sales license and while working part-time, subsequently received his Broker's license.
For the last 50 years Bob dedicated his life to the Lord. He was instrumental in the founding of The Little Peoples Daycare/Learning Center, and the first principal of the Community Academy Christian School.
