Robert Lee Cornell, 76, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2006, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born November 12, 1929, in Derby, Ohio, son of the late Henry Orlando and Marguerite Shoemaker Cornell. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his twin brother, William Eugene Cornell and sisters, Mildred Beatrice Davies and Mary Wallace. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nancy (Williams); eight sons, Robert, Michael (Libby), David, Charles, Lance (Connie), William (Viola), Herbert (Evon) and Matt (Cheryl); three daughters, Deborah Travis (Joey), Marguerite Dorn (Larry) and Donnas Morris (Ron); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, September 25, 2006 from 5:00-7:00 PM at High Street Baptist Church 7399 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at 10:00 AM at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home N.E. Chapel 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, with Pastor Charles Manious III officiating. Messages of condolence may be left at www.newcomerfamily.com
