Robert E. Cox, 76, passed away February 19, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Grace; wife, Jeri; and sister, Betty.
Bob is survived by children, Stephen (Karen) Cox, Daryl Cox and Lora (Scott) Cline; brother, Tom (Priscilla) Cox; grandchildren, Nicole, April, Robert, Courtney, Matthew and Chasity; as well as nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Graduated from Columbus West High School in 1954. He honorably served in the United States Air Force. Bob was a member of Iron Workers Local 172 and then self-employed as a general contractor. He was a member of Westgate Kiwanis and a past lieutenant governor. Bob enjoyed antique cars and also actively involved with the Boy Scouts.
Visitation Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 6-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Friday, February 22, 2013 at 1pm with visitation one hour prior at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Concord Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, Central Ohio Chapter, 1379 Dublin Rd., Columbus, OH 43215.
