Robert F. Nelson

Robert F. "Bob" Nelson, age 85, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, on March 6, 1927 to the late Alvin J. and Theodosia Nelson. Bob lived most of his life in Canton, Ohio and was currently residing in Grove City, Ohio. He was a retired R&D Engineer from Rubbermaid and a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran. He was married to the late Eileen Mary (Wolsey) Nelson.

He is survived by his five children; Robert "Butch" Nelson (Pam) of Montana, Bill Nelson (Robyn Ireland) of Montana, Nancy Nelson of Minnesota,
John Nelson (Denise) of Ohio and Edward Nelson (Darlene) of Ohio, 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters; Marion Nelson Eavou, Virginia Nelson Keim, Margaret Nelson Chioini, and Barbara Sutter. Brothers; Michael Curie and Richard Nelson.
He is preceded in death by a sister; Elizabeth Nelson Leachman and brothers; John Nelson, Frank Nelson, and Edward Nelson.

The family will have a mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (3730 Broadway Rd, Grove City, Ohio) on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 10:30 a.m.
A second mass will also be held at Bob's parish of 44 years, Christ the Servant Our Lady of Peace Parish (833 Thirty-ninth Street NW, Canton, Ohio) on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
