Robert Fleshman went home to be with the Lord at the young age of 62, on November 10th, 2023. He was born December 27th, 1960 to his parents Grady and Geraldine Fleshman in Logan, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his mother Geraldine, his brothers Andy and William, his favorite uncle Johnny, and his first love Bill.
He is survived by his father Grady, his brother John, his half-sister Charlotte, his sons Curtis and Jimmy, his daughter Cassie, his granddaughter Sophia, his loving partner Shane, and so many more people that loved him and cared about him.
Robert was a proud soldier who spent his whole life taking care of others and loving others. He has this beautiful and infectious smile that would light up the room. He made you laugh, he made you feel safe and comfortable, and he made you feel warm and loved. You could hear his laugh and you would feel so happy. He loved being around people and making them feel loved. He never met a stranger, everyone, no matter who you were became his best friend within minutes. He could talk to you for hours and repeat the same stories over and over. "I don't mean to repeat myself but…" he used to say. He brought so many people together from different walks of life. All he wanted was to love and be loved.
For over a decade he ran group homes and took care of mentally ill people. Helping others brought him so much joy. He made the decision at the beginning of this year to finally retire from everything and spend his life with his partner Shane and their puppy Missy. He loved coffee and his coffee shops, he would spend hours drinking way too many cups of coffee and just making friends wherever he was. Unfortunately, after a short and unexpected battle with cancer he went home to crack jokes, flirt, and make the angels smile in Heaven.
He will be deeply missed by so many people. His love spread further than he could ever imagine. His smile and love will be everlasting and truly missed.
Visitation Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 3pm until the time of Funeral Service at 5pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.
