He was born September 24, 1940, in New York, son of the late Robert and Helen Gassert. He is survived by his wife, Ursula Gassert; sons, Robert W. (Marcela) Gassert, Stephan V. (Melissa) Gassert and Vincent M. (Kelly) Gassert; daughter, Karen; gransons, Ian, Stephan and Vincent. Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home N.E. Chapel, 3047 E.
