Robert Dwight Gomez

Robert Dwight Gomez was born October 2, 1984 in New York, New York. Robert was always full of hope and positivity in any situation. We lost a husband, a father and a friend on August 31,2024, but we will never lose the hope he instilled in all of us.

Robert never gave up in any situation, and no matter what, he looked out for his family and those closest to him. He battled for 12 years with Multiple Sclerosis. Robert tried to see the light in any situation even when no one could. Whenever he was asked how he was feeling his response was "Beautiful and Sexy".

Throughout his lifetime he was a New York Yankees fan. His smile and cheer brought life to any game, and he was more passionate than anybody.

His family was the only thing Robert loved more than baseball. Oftentimes, even more than himself. Robert never put anything above family. Nobody can fill Roberts' shoes, but we know he will always be with us, watching over us.

Robert, a proud veteran of The US ARMY and served from 2007 to 2011. Was honorably discharged from Fort Hood, Texas. He established his family in Columbus, Ohio after he was honorably discharged.

We will always carry him in our hearts and continue his caring spirit. His wife Yazmin and children, Abdiel, Ediel, Yacieliz and Yerieliz will look up to Robert as their hero. 

Immediate Family will greet friends and family from 3 to 5pm, Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the Newcomer funeral home at 3047 E Dublin-Grandville Rd Columbus Ohio 43231. A service to honor Robert's life will be held at 5pm, Saturday, September 21, 2024, also at the funeral home. We hope to see all the friends and family who can attend to help us remember Robert and the great man he was!!
