Robert Elwood Hartman
June 16, 1932 — February 10, 2021
Robert Elwood "Ob" Hartman 88 from Groveport, Ohio peacefully passed away at home February 10, 2021. Born to Richard and Helen Hartman on June 16, 1932, he proudly served in the US Navy from 1950-1954 aboard the aircraft carrier The USS Windham Bay.
Ob retired from AEP after 34 years of service as a Lineman. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing at Pine Hill with friends and family. He was quite the handyman and loved watching The Ohio State Buckeyes football and basketball teams.
He is preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Kate Hartman, brother Larry Hartman and other loving family members. He is survived by his beloved wife of many years Peggy and loving son Sean (Jeanette) Hartman; his first wife Doris and their loving children Vicki (Ernie) West, Joni (Gilbert) Moore, Richard (Brenda) Hartman, Toni (Jerry ) Hartman, Sunny (Dale) Groves, Robert (Kim) Hartman; 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; loving step-daughters Jan, Lori and Vicky Zschach; 8 step-grandchildren, 28 step-great grandchildren; 8 step-great, great grandchildren; sisters Margaret (Siddy) Eisnaugle and Diane Schott.
Family will receive friends from 1-3pm on March 20, 2021 at Newcomer, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Private Family Service to follow at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to The Mid-Ohio Foodbank and the National MS Society.
