KING
Robert G. King, 75, of Chillicothe, formerly of Columbus, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born May 12, 1931, to the late Edward L. and Mildred L. (Veit) King. He was formerly associated with King's Sheet Metal Company. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the US Army in Guam. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruby and his brother, Edward A. King. He is survived by his daughter, Sherry L. (Dirk) Bender; grandchildren, Brian, Shannon, and Matt Skeens, Danielle and Stacy King; sisters, Jane A. Lykins (his dedicated caretaker during his illness), JoAnn Trueblood and Lynda (Kenneth) Cain; nephews, Kenneth (Jenny) Cain Jr., Kevin M. Cain, several other nieces and nephews; special friends, Chris Howard, Dottie Nixon and Chuck and Wanda Stephens, who were so helpful during his illness. Visitation will be held 4:00-8:00PM Thursday, July 20, 2006 with a prayer service at 7:30PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00AM Friday, July 21, 2006 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 3730 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, in Robert's name. Interment will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
