Robert Lee Jones, 51, of Galloway, passed into the arms of his Savior on Saturday, February 21, 2009, surrounded by his loving family. Born to Robert Lee and Loretta (Carpenter) Jones on March 18, 1957, Robert is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joan Cox; dear uncle, Norman Lucas. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Sherry (Hines) Jones; daughter, Robin (Robert) Mullen; sons, Daniel L. (Correne) Jones, Timothy A. (Thanh Ly) Jones and Joshua Jones; grandchildren, Nicholas Mullen, Daniel L. Jones, Jr, Trace Mullen, Cassie Mullen and soon to arrive, Allison Jones; much loved cousin, Stephanie Carroll and dear Aunt Lottie Lucas. Robert was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit and words of wise council for anyone in need. Robert was an avid outdoors man and was a faithful OSU fan. He worked for the State of Ohio as a correctional officer for 14 years and was a member of the SRT Team. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 23, 2009, 6-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH with the Funeral Service on Tuesday, February 24, 2009, 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Grove City Cemetery.
