Robert L. Pack

Robert L. "Bob" Pack, age 76, of Canal Winchester, Ohio, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 8, 2023, with his loving wife Karen by his side.

Bob was born on December 17,1946 in Columbus, Ohio to Lloyd and Helen Preston Pack. He graduated from Licking Heights High School in Summit Station, Ohio with the Class of 1964. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army Reserve in 1972.

Bob worked for the B&O Railroad in Circleville and Columbus for many years. He also worked for the Welch Avenue Free Will Baptist Church and was instrumental in starting their bus ministry. Welch Avenue later became Heritage Free Will Baptist Church. Bob served faithfully for many years at the church and in many different positions, including the youth ministry, Sunday school teacher, deacon, choir, and Praise Team.

Bob and Loretta Osborn Pack were married on September 17, 1967 at the Jersey Presbyterian Church in Jersey, Ohio. In 1979, Bob began working for Preferred Risk Insurance Company, now known as GuideOne Insurance. Bob and Loretta worked together running Pack Insurance Agency until they retired at the end of 2012. They were married for 48 years before her death in March of 2016.

Bob was blessed in his life to find love again and on June 1, 2019, Bob married Karen Hopkins-Pack at Heritage Free Will Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Helen Pack, and his wife, Loretta Osborn Pack.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Pack of Canal Winchester; his brother, Edward (Marie) Pack of Blanchard, Oklahoma; children, Teresa (Matt) Edic of Columbus and Tim (Beth) Pack of Canal Winchester, Lisa Hopkins-Puckett (Todd) of Columbus; grandchildren, Timara (Demetrius) Mitchell, William and Grace Edic, Joy and Hope Pack, Matthew (Steffany) Puckett, Mark (Rachel) Puckett, Luke Puckett, Johnna Puckett and Jaden Hopkins; great-grandchildren, Josiah and Braelynn Mitchell, Grayson and Maddy Jo Puckett and Jordan Wright who affectionately called him "Papa Bob". He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends may attend calling hours from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at the Heritage Freewill Baptist Church, 575 Obetz Rd., Columbus, OH 43207, where the funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday June 15, 2023. There will be a livestream on the Heritage Free Will Baptist Church Youtube channel.

Interment immediately following at Pataskala Cemetery in Pataskala, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heritage Free Will Baptist Church.
