Throughout his life, Bob was known for his boundless patience, generosity, humility, empathy, and hospitality. For those who knew him well, he was also known for his strong sense of family, his wry sense of humor, and his storytelling that always landed the perfect punchline. Everyone would feel welcome and safe when visiting his home and he would always offer food, shelter, a listening ear, and the strongest coffee known to mankind. His kindness did not end with humans - he was also the favored guardian of every animal that crossed the threshold. He would truly do anything for anyone he loved.
Bob was introspective, full of curiosity, and loved to learn how all things mechanical worked. He loved to race, build, and repair cars and humbly loved to be of service, especially to his family and to his Church. In his leisure time, Bob enjoyed travelling with his family on long, long drives in the car and figuring out the perfect combination to "play his numbers" each week. Once retired, he discovered a love for travel and he continued taking adventures with his wife and family, sometimes even to the local casino or even Las Vegas.
We will very much miss his gentleness, his laughter, his singing the Oldies, his pragmatism, and his sense of style. He leaves behind friends and family who loved him dearly alongside countless Hawaiian shirts and pairs of suspenders.
