Robert Schaffer

Robert L. Schaffer, 72, passed away January 16, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Eugenia; siblings, Eugene and Ralph Hanna, Elmadean Schneider and Richard "Mark" Schaffer.
Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jan; daughter, Kaylee (Christopher) Parsons; grandchildren, Staff Sergeant Nickolas Lesley, Joshua Meyer and Mason Meyer; brother, Harold Schaffer; sister-in-law, Phyllis Schaffer; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Served in the USAF; retired from the US Postal Service. Bob was very involved in his community and served in numerous philanthropic organizations.
Visitation Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 11 am at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Maplewood Cemetery, New Albany, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Charity Newsies, 4300 Indianola Ave., Columbus, OH 43214 or Central Crossing High School ROTC Boosters Association, 4500 Big Run South Rd., Grove City, OH 43123.
