Robert Shepherd

September 14, 1932 — August 10, 2012

Robert L. Shepherd, 79, died Friday, August 10th at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 14th, 1932 to Verna and Harry Shepherd. Robert attended East High School. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was employed for 31 years with Keebler Company as a supervisor.

He married his high school sweetheart Betty Cramer and together they had four children, Linda (Steve) Darfus, Bob (Bj), Marc and Lisa (Mike) Lauinger. Robert is also survived by 5 grandsons , Jesse (Ashton), Daniel (Anna), Kristopher, Kody and Patrik; 4 grandaughters, Vanessa (Torrie) Eaton, Alyssa, Allison and Amber-Lyn; 4 great-grandchildren, Angel, Robert and Isabelle Eaton and Lucien Shepherd. In addition, he is survived by his sister and family friends Wanda and Donnie Mathess. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and a sister.

The family would like to extend special thanks for the loving care given by Hospice of Central Ohio.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 14th from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus. Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 15th at 12 noon at the funeral home with interment to follow at Eastlawn Cemetery.
