Robert Rigdon Simpson

Robert Rigdon Simpson, 70, of Columbus, passed away in his home on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 Robert was born December 4, 1954, in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to Carvel Rigdon Simpson and Ruth Eileen Jones Simpson. 

Robert was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and loyal IBEW local #683 member for 38 years. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandson Jackson. 

Robert will be deeply missed by his son Alex Simpson of Fort Wayne, IN, grandson Jackson Howard of Rochester, IN, sisters Nancy Heischman of Logan, OH, and Linda Simpson of Buckeye Lake, OH, Nieces Erin, and April Heischman, Cassie Hoosic, Bridget Davis, and Carrie Johnson, former wife and long-time cherished companion Pam Berner, and former wife and mother to his son, Emily Simpson. 

Robert was preceded in death by his mother Ruth Eileen Jones Simpson and father Carvel Rigdon Simpson. 

Memorial Service will be Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 1pm with visitation to follow until 4pm at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus.
