Robert Sollie, 70, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Mt. Carmel East surrounded by his loving family.
Robert was born November 29, 1941 in Glouster, Ohio. He is an Army Special Forces Green Beret. He was a 1963 graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, a member of the NRA and the Ohio Gun Collectors Association.
Preceded in death by mother, Erma and Robert Ricker; father, John Sollie. Survived by his wife, Luana J. Sollie; sons, Robert Sollie Jr, Thomas (Angela) Sollie; daughters, Lori Johnson, Amy (Todd) Elliott; grandchildren, Maci and Cory Sollie, Larry Sampson, Alex and Ashley Johnson; sister, Rita Griffin; brother, Ronald (Luann) Ricker; several nieces, nephews, special friends; and his faithful companion, Angie.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2135 Baldwin Road, Reynoldsburg 43068, where the family will receive friends from 1-2 PM.
