Robert D. Wilson, age 76, passed away on June 22nd, 2010. Bob moved to Columbus in 1968 as Manager of the Business Machines Division for Burroughs Corp. In 1982 Bob started Digitex Corp., where he was known for his hard work and commitment to his customers, finally retiring in 2008. He enjoyed many things, especially fishing, gospel music, and gathering with family and friends. Bob was involved in many neighborhood civic organizations and projects in Southwest Columbus, and helped to create the Southwest Area Commission and Westbrook/Eastfield Neighborhood Assn. Those who knew him will remember him for his warmth, humor and caring.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Arlene, sons, James and Dean, granddaughters, Stephanie (Donnie) Rowland, Candace and Ashleigh Wilson, great grandsons, Jordan and Carson Rowland and Keegan Wilson, and in-laws, Daniel and Charlene Klimovich.
Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 29th, 2010, at 6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to your favorite charity in Bob's memory.
