Robert D. Wolford

June 26, 1949 — November 26, 2022

Robert Darrell Wolford, or "Bob" to his family and friends, passed away in the peace of his Mansfield, Ohio home on November 26, 2022.

Bob was born on June 26, 1949, to George and Zella Wolford in Pike County, Kentucky. He grew up and remained close with his 5 siblings Terry, Larry, Floyd (Blue), Mary, and Randy.

In 1969 Bob married the love of his life, Geri, and soon after started their family. Their son Brian was born in 1971 and their daughter Lisa in 1976.

While living in Obetz, Ohio, Bob served on the town council and worked for many years at Preston Trucking. His time away from work was dedicated to attending Brian and Lisa's sporting and musical events and serving his church. While serving at the Frebis Avenue Church of God, Bob would joyously spend his Sunday driving the bus ministry to the surrounding neighborhoods, picking up the church youth for Sunday School. He called each of the kids by name and would show up with a smile whether in the rain, sleet, or snow.

When they retired to Cardington, Ohio, the Centerburg Church of God became Bob and Geri's new church home. At any time, you could find him praying over a friend in need or testifying to what God had done for him.

Bob cherished time with family and friends. He would look forward to spending time with loved ones whether it was on a golf course, in a hunting blind, or around a table, sharing a meal. Bob was passionate about his family, making a point to support them in any way he could.

Bob was devoted to his faith, always leading with kindness. He was made whole by his love for and friendship with his wife Geri. He was a proud and adored father to Brian and Lisa. And he was joy personified as he would laugh with and love on his grandsons.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, George and Zella Wolford, his brothers Larry and Floyd, and his Mother-in-law, Roberta Dheel.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Geri, and his adoring children Brian (Christine), and Lisa Reas (Jay), and his 3 grandchildren Colton Reas, Garik, and Mathias. He is also survived by cherished siblings Terry (Cleo), Mary Sanson (Sheridan), and Randy (Kathy). Bob is further survived by his beloved brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
