Roderick Todd James (Todd), 60, suddenly passed away October 24, 2021, surrounded by loved ones.
Todd was born on May 18, 1961, in Columbus Ohio, the son of late Vivian Joan James (Littleton) and Roy Lee James.
Todd graduated from North High School in 1979. He was an extremely skilled carpenter, started and owned JOS Custom Carpenter with his father for over 30 years. Later, he finished his career with Contract Lumber. He was a dedicated, driven, and successful entrepreneur. Todd loved to hunt at the farm, catch Walleye fish with his buddies, make memories camping at Indian lake, NASCAR, and he adored his football teams Ohio State and Bengals. Todd was always the light of the party, singing his heart out, and everyone enjoyed his hilarious dancing. In July of 2015, he was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. He fought hard without any hesitation. "Superhero PaPa" is what his grandbabies Lily and Luke called him. The family would like to thank the Riverside OhioHealth hospice 6th-floor nurses for providing Todd with the excellent end of the life care. Appreciation to all his amazing doctors Arcy, Fouad, and Grainger for providing compassionate care during his cancer fight. He will be greatly missed by many.
Todd is survived by his wife Mary James, daughter Brooke James, son-in-law Brandon Carter, grandchildren Lily and Luke, brother Nate James, sister Tina James, Nieces, and Nephews. A celebration of life will be held on November 19th at Concord Township Building 6385 Home Road Delaware Ohio 43015 6-10 pm.
