Roger Douglas Eden

Roger Douglas Eden passed away Monday, July 31, 2023, at the age of 84, at The Laurels Rehabilitation Center, Columbus, Ohio.
Roger was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 15, 1939. The son of Walter and Margaret Eden. Roger graduated from Grove City HS in 1957. Roger retired from BP Oil Company at the age of 73, after many years of service. Roger loved to be outdoors; swimming, fishing, boating. Other hobbies Roger loved included; traveling, dancing, karaoke, bingo, bowling, card games, board games, and eating. Roger loved great food.
Roger married Geral and had a son, Douglas Eden. After many years of living a lifestyle as a bachelor, Roger married Fran Lyons in 2019.
Roger was a member of First Baptist Church, Grove City. Roger was saved and gave his life to Christ. Over the last few years, Roger was fascinated about learning the teachings of the Bible.
Roger is predeceased by his parents, Walter & Margaret, brother, Walter Jr., sisters, Phyllis and Lucille. ex-wife, Geral.
Roger is survived by son, Douglas (Sylvia Eden), grandchildren; Faith, Christopher, Jose, Franco, six nieces and nephews. Wife, Fran Lyons-Eden, Debbie Kappes (Jerry), Tammie Oberdier (Eric), Kevin Lyons (Susanna), five step-grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio, 43123. Visitation hours are 5-7pm, with a memorial service at 7pm.
