Roger Ehmann

Roger "Gene" Ehmann, age 89, passed away on December 13, 2021. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 2, 1932 to the late Aden Ehman and Hilda Reichel. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 68 years, Norma; grandson, Roger Eric; siblings, Letty McGannon, Donald "Pat" Ehman, William "Bill" Ehman. He is survived by his children, Rita (Terry) Crago, Roger (Robin) Ehmann, Keith (Terri) Ehmann, and Kevin (Peggy) Ehmann; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; many other loving extended friends. Owner of Ehmann and Sons Greenhouse for 50 years. Gene loved visiting the North Market where he sold many of his products. He was an avid gardener and top vegetable grower for more than 60 years. He was a member of the Columbus Fruit and Vegetable Co/op and also a member of the Grove City Lion's Club. Gene was a past president of the Columbus, Ohio Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association. He was also an avid lover of dogs. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at the NEWCOMER SOUTHWEST CHAPEL from 2:00pm until 5:00pm, and again from 10:00am until time of funeral service at 11:00am on Monday, December 20, 2021 at the Grove City United Methodist Church, 2684 Columbus St., Grove City, Ohio 43123. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ohio Health Hospice.
