Roger H. Ellis, 68, of Whitehall, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2009. He was born on February 11, 1941 to the late Omar and Lida Ellis in Bath County, KY. In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his brothers, Oscar and Henry Ellis. He is survived by his daughters, Michelle Dray, and Beth (Tony) Weddel; grandchildren, Samantha Wells, Kyle Holt, and Michaela Dray; brothers, Joe Ellis, George (Atha) Ellis, Owen (Cheryl) Ellis, and Rob Ellis; sister, Virgie (Bill) Epperson; sisters in-law, Opal Ellis, and Darlene Ellis; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Friday, April 10, 2009 from 5:00PM-7:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Pastor Robert Tolar officiating. Private inurnment will follow at a later date at Green Lawn Cemetery.
