Roger Lee Moody, 78, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away May 29, 2022.
He was born in Columbus, Ohio on August 13, 1943 to the late Clarence and Lillian (Dotters) Moody.
He is preceded in death by siblings, Ruby Swisher, Annebell Allen, and Eugene Moody.
Surviving family includes loving wife of 57 years, Rosalind "Rose" L. (Hughes) Moody; daughters, Diana (Paul) Ferrara, Janet (Jeff) Shown; grandchildren, Brittany (Nealon) Richards, Alex Ferrara, Jeremy Shown, Jessica Shown; great grandchildren, Cole Richards, Hudson Richards; in-laws, Carolyn (Rob) Ewart, Tim (Becky) Woodward, Gary (Susan) Woodward, Nina (Jerry) Goins; nephew, William (Jodi) Swisher; as well as other special, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Roger was a 1961 graduate of Linden McKinley High School, and a 1965 graduate of The Ohio State University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts focusing in Biochemistry.
He retired after serving 32 years at Chemical Abstracts Service.
Roger was also a long time member of the American Chemical Society.
His favorite moments were watching Ohio State Football, good music and spending time with his family. He loved the ocean and making lasting memories.
Roger was a dynamic man and will be truly missed by those who loved him.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - NW Chapel, 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Rogers name to The Kobacker House.
