Rose A. Krah, 96, of Shamokin, PA and most recently of Grove City, OH, passed away January 28, 2007 at her daughter, Dorothy's home. Rose was born September 15, 1910 in Tuscarora, PA and was married January 4, 1936 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Tamaqua, PA to Elvin W. Krah who preceded her in death. Rose is also preceded in death by son-in-law, Glenn Hoy; 3 brothers, Ignatius, Anthony and Leon and sister, Mary. Rose is survived by her daughters, Dorothy Hoy of Grove City, OH; Anna Marie (Eugene) Humphrey of Annapolis, MD; son, Kenneth (Carol) Krah of Williamsport, PA; grandson, Scott R. (Rachel) Humphrey of Atlanta, GA; great-granddaughters, Samantha Rose and Alexandra Charlotte Humphrey; nephew, Edward (Nancy) Binkoski of Shamokin, PA. and several great nieces and great nephews. Rose was the true matriarch of her family. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Shamokin, PA., Order of Eastern Star and attended St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grove City, OH. Rose was a very active participant in the Evangelical Lutheran Church Women for many years and was especially known for her cooking and baking. Local funeral services will be held 2:30PM Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3220 Columbus St., Grove City, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 1:30PM until time of services at the church with Rev. Donald Allman officiating. Visitation will also be held 6:00-8:00PM Friday, February 2, 2007 at Farrow Funeral Directors, Sixth and Chestnut Streets, Shamokin, PA 17872. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Saturday, February 3, 2007 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church 65 East Sunbury St., Shamokin, PA. with Rev. Alfred Bashore officiating. Visitation will also be held from 10:00AM until time of service at the church. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg, PA.
