Rose McGarvey, 48, of Whitehall, entered into God's hands, Wednesday, August 22, 2007 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas McGarvey Jr. Rose is loved by her son, Heath McGarvey; brothers, Tom McGarvey, Mark O'Bryan; sister, Arleen McGarvey; mom and dad, Lavina and Harry O'Bryan; brother-in-law, Bennie Mathews; nephew, Kevin Parson Jr.; niece, Audrey Major; great-niece, Kali Ann Major; adoptive parents, Edgar and Rachel Lucas and Rose's beloved dog, Loius Vuitton McGarvey. Rose was a member of Turnpoint Apostolic Church and a 1977 graduate of Hamilton High School. She is our sunshine. She was there for anyone that needed a helping hand, the support to others and loved by all. Her memories will never fade and will be carried in our hearts day by day. The Lord led her away and held her tight by the hand until the road split and she went with the Lord. We'll keep going till that day comes and we will all be together again. There's more to the story. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00PM Friday, August 24, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Saturday, August 25, 2007 at the funeral home with 1 hour visitation prior to the service. Pastor Paul Cook will be officiating. Burial will be held 4:30PM Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Mt. Olive Cemetery, New Vienna, Ohio. A special thank you to Hospice of Dayton for their care.
