Roy B Barber

Roy B Barber, born December 10, 1937 passed away from cardiac arrest in the emergency room at St. Ann's hospital on March 19, 2024. He was born in Columbus, OH to Roy Sr. and Blenden (Ebright) Barber and they both preceded him in death. His devoted wife of 44 years, Donna, passed away April 6, 2023. A stepson, Michael Benik, is also deceased. Survivors include sons Brent Barber and Brad Barber and their families, all residing in Florida; stepson, Thomas (Mary Ann) Benik of Hilliard, OH; stepdaughter Patti (Gary) Schwitzgable of Massillon, OH.

Roy was an avid boater. After retiring from Sears as a maintenance supervisor, he started his own successful business, Arbydale's Complete Remodeling. He and Donna spent most weekends at Lake Erie where they were members of the Crews Nest on Put-in-Bay. They also enjoyed taking their boat on extended trips to Canada and along the Eastern seaboard. Roy liked golfing, fishing, and playing his guitar. He will be sadly missed by his dog, Lil Rickie.

Roy will be privately entombed in the Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum next to Donna. Funeral services are being handled by Newcomer. A memorial service for friends and family will be announced at a later date.
