Roy Dechert
July 6, 1930 — September 2, 2012
Roy Eugene Dechert, 82, of Grove City, OH passed away September 2, 2012. Born in Commercial Point, OH to the late Orville and Nora. In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his brother, William.
He is survived by his devoted daughter, Lesa (James) Vitale; sister, Eleanor Seimer; and grandchildren, Amanda and James Vitale.
He was a 1948 graduate of Scioto Township HS. After graduation he continued to stay active in sports and enjoyed following OSU. Roy retired from Kmart after 20 years of service as well as U.S. Securities after 15 years. He was an active member in Grove City Elks #37.
Visitation Friday, September 7, 2012 from 12 pm until the time of Funeral Service at 2 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Interment to follow at Grove City Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Roy's memory to American Cancer Society, Central Region Office-FRAO, 5555 Frantz Rd., Dublin, OH 43017.
