Roy Lee Privett, 81, passed away January 9, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gay Beverly and George A. Privett; wife, Zelma M. Sauls; and siblings, Tracy, Mert and Marie. Roy is survived by his sisters, Irene (Bernard) Stump and Dixie (Larry) Short; brothers, Garland (Sandy)and George Jr.(Sarah); children, Yvonne Shop and Michael (Sue) Privett; grandchildren ,Shane Privett, Alicia (Art) Valero and Stacey (Rob) Ponder; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Alexia and Cameron Junk, and Sierra, Elijah and Myra Ponder. Roy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and musician. Roy was a lifetime member of the International Union of Operating Engineers (AFL-CIO). Visitation Thursday, January 14, 2010 from 11 AM until the time of Funeral Service at 1PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH. Interment to follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate, Reynoldsburg, OH. Donations in Roy's name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
