Roy Melvin Woods Jr., 72, passed away September 16, 2010. In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Riser and three grandchildren, Amber, Mary and Tiffany. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Medrith (Hix) Woods; children, Mike Woods, Roy (Heather) Woods III, Victor (Nickie) Woods and Kristal (John) Hilpert; grandchildren, Cory, Haley, Olivia, Tara and Katie; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Miami and Alyson; six sisters, three brothers; and mother-in-law, Bonnie Smith. Roy was a fantastic husband, great father and a friend to all he met. Visitation Sunday, September 19, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Monday, September 20, 2010 at 1 PM at the funeral home.
