Roy L. Miller passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2009. He was born July 26, 1935 to the late Ralph and Mary Ellen (McGee) Miller in Altoona, PA. Roy married Joanne Champeno on December 26, 1958. He served in the Marines and retired from Rickenbacker AFB serving in the Air Force. In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Ralph. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Joanne; children, Connie Miller of Columbus, Dawn (Gene) Fleshman of Grove City, Susan (Craig) Wright of Columbus, Ed (Wendy) Miller of Orient; grandchildren, Christopher (Angela) Miller, Jeffrey Fleshman, Brittany Fleshman, Valerie Miller, Kylie Wright and his beloved dog Zoey; sisters, Bernie Fury of St. Pete, FL, Betty Myers of Altoona, PA, Theresa McCall of Altoona, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, November 27, 2009 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City. Funeral service will be Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or American Heart Association.
