Ruby Mae Burger, 59, of Westerville, passed away Friday, August 31, 2007 at the Village at Westerville. She was born December 5, 1947, in Lyland, W.Va. She is preceded in death by her father, Younger Byars; mother, Vernell (William "Mainline") Peoples and also an aunt and uncle, Carrie (Jesse) Davis. Ruby is survived by her husband, Robert Burger; son, Trevor (Margaret) Burger Sr.; brother, William (Bonnie) Peoples; grandchildren, Trevor Burger Jr. and Ava Ruby Burger; aunts, Macie Stevenson and Barbara Kendrick; nephews, Willie Ray Dawsey, Dwayne Peoples, Larry Goodwin and Marcus Burger; nieces, Toni Burger, Tonia Peoples, Tomeka Quinn, Alolione Burger and Alicia Peters-Burger; special friends, Charlotte Manley and Patrice Davenport and also a host of friends. Visitation will be Friday, September 7, 2007 from 1:00-3:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home N.E. Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus. Funeral service will be Saturday, September 8, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 2188 Woodward Avenue, Columbus, with Pastor Odell Waller, officiating, and also visitation at the church one hour prior to services.
