Russell Clayton Pitts, 58, of Galloway, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009. Russell was born on December 2, 1950 in Columbus, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, Omar Pitts; and sister, Linda Pitts. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Janice "Jan" Pitts; daughters, Pebbles (Earl Kennedy) Seymour, and Crystal Goshorn; sons, Joshua (Rosanne) Pitts, and Russell (Kailene) Pitts II; grandchildren, Dallas, Shane, Jared, Ryan, and Madison "Lizzie"; mother, Monna Pitts; sisters, Brenda (Richard) Johnston, Leslie "Kay" (Everett) Johnson, and Rosalie (Gary) Garrett; brother, Dave (Ronda) Pitts; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, friends, and neighbors. Russell was family to everyone he met. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 11:00AM at Mt. Sterling Apostolic Gospel Church, 15770 West Rt. 62, Mt. Sterling, Ohio. Pastor Darrell Kelly officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Sterling Apostolic Gospel Church.
