Russell E. Miller

Russell E. Miller, age 75, passed away on April 7, 2022. He was born on November 27, 1946 to the late Margaret and Robert Miller in Columbus, Ohio.

He graduated from West High School in 1964. He went to college at The Ohio State University before he was drafted into the Army in 1966. Russell was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He tells stories about driving tanks and jumping out of planes. During his four years of service, Russell spent time in Germany, Vietnam, and Washington State. Following his time in the Army, Russell worked at Ohio Bell in downtown Columbus. He became a manager and retired after 30 years of working there.

He enjoyed riding dirt bikes, playing softball and classic cars. Russell loved sports and was a passionate OSU Football fan. He was an active member at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church after he and his family moved to Grove City in 1987. He was a loving husband, father and Paw paw. His family loved him dearly and he will be greatly missed.

Russell is survived by his loving wife of almost 35 years, Nancy; daughter, Cheryl (Michael) Grimm; brothers, Rodney (Ann) Miller and Raymund (Sonja) Miller; granddaughters, Shae and Cora Grimm; nephew, Tyler Miller and niece, Hannah Putterbaugh.

The Memorial Service will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3220 Columbus Street, Grove City, Ohio 43123.
