Ruth Ann Wood, 80, of Mount Sterling, OH, passed away June 24, 2011. She was born on March 29, 1931 in Mercerville, OH to Sam and Emma (Milard) Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Roberkia "Berkie" Earl, brother, Billy L. Williams. Surviving family includes, loving husband of 61 years, French D. Wood Sr., son, French D. Wood Jr.(Dodie), sister, Phyllis Rife (Robert), grandchildren, Natalie Self, David Wood III, Rocky Earl, 4 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm, Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Larry Brown at 1:00pm, following the visitation at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Pleasant Cemetery, Mount Sterling, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Mount Carmel Hospice.
