Ruth Copeland

Ruth Copeland, 75, passed away Friday, August 24, 2013 at home in Galloway, Ohio. She was born in Circleville, Ohio to the late Howard and Mildred Allison. She was the loving wife of Lowell Copeland, and together they were looking forward to celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in December. Ruth devoted herself to her roles of wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt and daughter, as well as being a friend and honorary "Gma" to many. She will be remembered for her generosity, hospitality, love of holidays and Christmas music, love of sewing, and love and dedication to her family. Preceded in death by son, Craig Copeland, and sister, Norene Fisher. Survived by husband, Lowell; daughters, Cindy (Jeff) Bertsch and Kellee Copeland; grandchildren, Travis (Chelsa), Evan, Emily, Zach, Luke, and Lauren; Gregg Sewell; brother, Howard (Emily) Allison; sister, Maxine Bosworth; brother-in-law, Bob (Carol) Fisher; brother-in-law, Bob (Grace) Copeland; sister-in-law, Lea Copeland, as well as many other family members and friends of all ages.
Friends may call from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm on Friday, August 30, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home 3393 Broadway Grove City.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 10am at the funeral home, with Reverend Howard M. Allison officiating. Burial will follow at Reber Hill Cemetery in Ashville.
