Ruth E. Greene, 90, of Columbus, passed away Friday, July 15, 2011 at Westminster-Thurber. She was born October 10, 1920, in Columbus, daughter of the late Elmer and Grace Cannon Jones. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Clifford N. Greene; son, Glenn Greene; sisters, Lois Frances and Maxine Strigle. She retired from OSU College of Denistry. Ruth is survived by her; son, Gene (Phyllis) Greene; daughters, Lin (Dimitri) Smirniotopoulos and Marty (Ed) Nabakowski; brothers, Robert Jones and Paul Jones; grandchildren, Brent, Scott, Amy, Richard, Tami, Chris, Michael, Paul, Josh, Chad, Ted, Jim and Shelly; twenty-six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 20, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Linworth Baptist Church, 6200 Linworth Rd. Worthington. Funeral service will be Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the church. Entombment will be in Union Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Linworth Baptist Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E.
