Ruth M. Jarvis, 92, died in Christ November 8, 2011, at Madison Manor Nursing Home in Madison, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. John Barnes McBride of Zanesville, OH, her husband, Parker T. Jarvis, and her four siblings. Survivors include her daughter and husband, Dr. and Mrs. W. Frederick Rice (Nancy) of Madison, AL; her son and wife, Dr. and Mrs. Parker M. Jarvis (Bonnie) of Dublin, OH; former daughter in law, Susan Jarvis, of Columbus, OH; grandchildren Parker Jason Jarvis of Columbus, OH; Lt. Colonel and Mrs. William Jarvis Rice (Anna) of Fayetteville, NC; Mr. and Mrs. Jason DeMarco (Elizabeth Rice) of Fairfax, VA; four great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She and her husband were members of Grace Presbyterian Church in Columbus, Ohio. After her husband's death she lived with her daughter and transferred membership to Westminster Presbyterian Church in Huntsville, AL. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 1:00 on Monday, November 14, 2011, at Grace Presbyterian Church, 5099 Postlewaite Rd., Columbus, OH. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM at the church. Burial will be at Union Cemetery, Columbus, OH. Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH is honored to serve the family of Ruth McBride Jarvis.
