Ruth MaeGrace Watters

March 25, 2025 — April 14, 2025

Westerville

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Ruth MaeGrace Watters, who left this world far too soon on April 14, 2025, at the tender age of 20 days. Born on March 25, 2025, in Westerville, Ohio, Ruth was a bright light who touched the lives of all those fortunate enough to know her.

Affectionately known as "Baby Ruth," she was no ordinary child; from the very beginning, she exhibited a spirit that was both wild and feisty. She was our brave fighter, facing every challenge with an unwavering strength that inspired everyone around her. The memories we hold of Ruth are filled with warmth and affection. We will forever cherish how much she loved to hold her daddy's hand, finding comfort in his embrace and light in his gaze. Watching her grow bigger and bigger every day was a joy that filled our lives with purpose and beauty.

Though her time with us was brief, Ruth's impact on our lives, and the lives of her family, was immeasurable. Her presence drew her parents, Justin and Rebecca Watters, closer to each other as well as to Christ, strengthening their faith and their bond. Ruth became a beacon of love that enriched not only familial relationships but also expanded the circle of grace surrounding her. She was loved by everyone who assisted in her care and shared in the experience of witnessing her remarkable spirit. We are forever grateful to the nurses, doctors, and surgeons who poured their time and love into her little life.

Ruth is now with her Savior, Jesus Christ, and safely in His arms. She is preceded in death by her great-grandfather Fred Shahan, her great-grandfather Ho Lui, her great-grandfather J. W. Watters, and her great-grandmother Opal Watters.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of her devoted family: her father Justin W. Watters, her mother Rebecca Watters, her grandma Nancy Harden, her grandpa Troy Harden, her great-grandmother Joan Shahan, her great-grandmother Carol Litts, her aunt Melinda Harden, her aunt Andrea Watters, and her great-grandmother Sheung N. Lui. The love they had for her continues on, forever engraved in the tapestry of their lives.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Ruth's life will be held on April 18, 2025, at LifeSigns Deaf Baptist Church in New Albany, Ohio, beginning at 6:00 PM. As we gather to remember our precious daughter, we do so with the assurance that God had a perfect plan for her life. Romans 8:28 reminds us, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose."

As we say goodbye, let us hold onto the joy that Ruth brought to our lives, allowing her spirit to continue inspiring us to love deeper, laugh louder, and cherish each moment more fully. Our hearts are forever grateful for the short time we shared with our darling Ruth MaeGrace Watters.
