Sally Jean Blubaugh, age 78, a beloved figure of Johnstown, Ohio, was welcomed into heaven on March 1st, 2025. She was known for her kindness, charity, profound love for her Lord, and her family and friends.
Sally began her adult life as a Sister in the Order of the Trinitarians. She then taught elementary school at Mother of Divine Grace Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, until 1971. She then completed school and worked as a paralegal. Later in life, she became a registered nurse and touched the hearts and lives of so many of her patients. Sally loved to sew, travel, spend time with her pets, and laugh with and care for her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, William C. Blubaugh and Lillian J. Blubaugh, as well as her brother, Kenneth J. Blubaugh. She is survived by her sister, Margaret R. McKee (husband Steve Gaumer), and her brother, Thomas Blubaugh. She is also survived by her nieces Kelly (Charles) Bernthold, Shannon (Michael) Brady, Kerri Arledge (and Rick), and Sally Morey. Along with many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Sally loved the Lord above all, and remained faithful to Him and her church always. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. We are all grateful to have experienced her infectious laughter and her unconditional love. She will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio, where she will be reunited with her twin brother, Kenneth Blubaugh, on Saturday, March 15th.
