Sally Stanley, 83, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011. Born November 25, 1927 in Lindsey, WV, daughter of the late William and Sarah Jane (Pack) Murphy. She was one of 12 children. Married to the late Harry James Stanley on March 29, 1943 for 67 years. She traveled with Harry for 6 years while he was on active duty in the Navy. In their young married life they lived in Itman and Mullins West Virginia and Wellston, OH before making Columbus, OH their home for 47 years. In October 2009 she made her final move to Lexington, Ohio home of Barbara and George Isaman. She is survived by daughters; Barbara (George) Isaman, Bonnie (John) Burgett and Ethel (Jack) Parrett; one son James Stanley; two brothers, Amos (Jean) Murphy and Elbert (Phillis) Murphy; six grandchildren, David, Julie and Mark (Tanya) Isaman, Marla (Terry) Stevens, Tina McWhorter and Brian (Lisa) Parrett; nine great-grandchildren, Krista, Chance and Isaac Isaman, Abby Stevens, Jenna and Carly Parrett, Kyle Liming, Christian Parrett, and Taylor Collins; one great great-granddaughter, Stacey Liming. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by brothers, Roy, Troy, William and Clarence Murphy, and sisters, Virgie Mullins, Myrtle Wolford, Rebecca Price, Ollie Murphy and Georgie Stevens. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, April 25, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial at Grove City Cemetery.
