Sam Crawford, 72, of Johnstown, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Manor Care of Westerville. He was born December 31, 1939 in Portsmouth, son of the late S. Carvel and Thelma Dopps Crawford. Sam is survived by is wife, Phyllis Stepp Crawford; daughters, Terri (Mike) Phillips and Traci (Rob) Louden; sister, Connie (Harold) Hearing; grandchildren, Austin, Denim, Tyler, Mackenzie, Joshua, Nathan and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, February 13, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd Columbus. Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Greenhill Cemetery.
