Samuel E. Clemens, 90, Westerville, OH passed away Friday, August 23, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Sam was born in Grove City on June 5, 1923, to Samuel Gilbert and Maude Clemens and is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Ann (Reid) Clemens.
Survivors include his children, Ted (Kate) Clemens, Judy Murray, Mark (Becky) Clemens, Vickie Geygan; sister, Ida Gill; brothers, Wesley and Bill (Ida) Clemens; grandchildren, Michael (Melonie) Murray, Tim (Tracy) Clemens, Terri Murray, Tamara Bartok, Serena Clemens, Tina Geygan, John Geygan, Luke Clemens; several great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Sam was a veteran of WWII and retired from Riverside and Grant Hospitals parking service.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 30, 2013, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Arc of Ohio, 1335 Dublin Road, Suite 225A, Columbus, OH 43215.
Interment will follow at Union Cemetery, with military honors.
