Sanat came to the United States in the late 60s with the Parsons Engineering Firm and later was the Assistant Chief of the Ohio EPA until he retired. His main motto in life is "family first" and he loved spending time with family members. He was deeply involved in spending time with his granddaughters doing anything they loved and having dinner with them every night. His proudest moments were watching them succeed in life and giving them worldly advice when they asked.
He was actively involved in cultural social activities within the community. He was a founding President of BACO (Bangladesh Association of Central Ohio) and a Former Board Member of COBCA (Central Ohio Bengali Cultural Association). As much as he could, he would support his Bangladeshi culture in Central Ohio.
As his wife battles with illness herself, Sanat was heavily involved in making sure his wife was well taken care of at her nursing home. Most days he would make sure to spend dinner time with her to make sure she was eating well.
In lieu of flowers, the Biswas and Barua families request that you make a donation to the Buddhist Temple in your city. Whether it is in the city of Columbus or in your hometown, a blessing to them would be the best gift to honor him.
