Sandra Kay Vance-Seagraves, 61, began her journey home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 16, 2012. Sandy was born July 30, 1950 and grew up in Hillsboro, Ohio where she graduated from Hillsboro High School and later went on to graduate from the University of Cincinnati with an associate's degree in accounting. She was preceded in death by her devoted mother, Loretta Eileen Vance. She is loved and will be missed by her husband of 30 years, Jeffrey A. Seagraves, her father, Samuel H. Vance, her daughters, Courtney (Jeffrey) Miller of Columbus, Kimberly (Michael) Rich of Mt. Orab, Kristina (Daryl) Waits of Washington Court House, Kellie (Gerald) Curtis of Grove City, 13 grandchildren, 7 siblings, Samuel J. (Sharon), Patricia Bauman, David Michael (Vicki), John (Rosena), Suzanne (Kyle) Maynard, Jeff (Julie) and Lisa (Tom) Rieder, and many other family members. After graduating Sandy worked at Hobart Mfg., Lennox, Abex/Haggluds Denison, and Columbus Public Schools. Sandy had a big heart and was filled with a passion for helping others. She tirelessly donated her time to the 4-H program for 32 years, the Ohio Ayrshire Breeders Association, Columbus Public School District where her life was changed by the innumerable children that she encountered. Sandy enjoyed sewing and took joy in knowing those she loved were wearing the many fashion masterpieces she created. Services to celebrated her life will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home 3393 Broadway in Grove City, Ohio on Sunday, February 19, 2012 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-800 pm. A funeral service will be on Monday, February 20 at 10:00 am. Burial will be at 2:00 pm at Prospect United Methodist Church cemetery in Hillsboro, Ohio.
