Sandra "Sandy" Sue Life, Age 74, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024. Sandy was born March, 24, 1950 in Zanesville, Ohio to Richard and Mary Jane (Swank) George.
Sandy graduated from Walnut Ridge High School. Following High School, she was trained and licensed as a Beautician. After marrying Rudy Life on Valentine's Day 1970, she worked in the Private Sector, then from home where they started a family. She helped volunteer with the PTA at James Road Elementary.
Sandy's career was with Kroger, she retired after 32 years, where she had a passion for serving her customer's and loved getting into the spirit of every holiday. After retiring she worked for Whitehall Public schools part-time. Early in Sandy's life she enjoyed Bowling on leagues with friends and family.
Rudy and Sandy took long motorcycle trips along the Appalachian trail and Niagara Falls along with many other smaller trips over the years. They enjoyed the open road together. For years, she was involved in supporting the family Racing business and an avid Nascar racing fan, especially of her son Marc #97.
She loved arts and crafts and planting flowers. Sandy was a huge OSU Buckeye FAN, she loved making buckeye necklaces! She loved spending time cheering her grandkids on at sporting events, pageants, or concerts she always wanted to be there and was so proud of their accomplishments. In retirement she got tremendous joy going on the gambling cruises and to the casinos, she loved the sound of the slot machines.
Sandy will be deeply missed by her husband of 54 years Rudy Life; children Mindy (Charles) Euton, Marc Life (Tammy); grandchildren Megan Euton, Madison Euton, Connor Euton; faithful pal Rusty along with many other family and friends.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents Richard "Dick" and Mary Jane George and Daughter-n-Law Tammy Life.
There will be a celebration of Sandy's life at a later date. Burial will be at Glen Rest Cemetery with her parents Richard T. George and Mary Jane George.
